Franklin 4-H Clovers
The Franklin 4-H Clovers are winding down after
a very busy summer. In June, seven members attended
4-H Camp at Harbor Point. Some of our older members
were selected for state-wide trips. John Thobe
attended Conservation Camp and Emily Thobe served
this camp as a counselor, Laurel Fagaly represented
Mercer County at State Leadership Camp and Jodi
Braun was a delegate for the interstate exchange
program.
On July 13, the Franklin Clovers traveled by motor
coach to the Beach Waterpark in Mason, Ohio. A
group of 47 members, friends, advisors and chaperones
enjoyed an action packed day.
Club members did well with projects at the Mercer
County Fair, 14 projects received a Best In Class
or Outstanding rating, five of these kids took
their projects to the State Fair in Columbus.
There were 10 swine, 2 sheep, 4 dairy, and 2 rabbit
project participants.
We congratulate our 10-year members and say thank-you
for all your hard work and dedication while you
were Franklin Clovers. These members are Eric
Kramer, Dave Rose and Emily Thobe.
The 4-H Teen Leader Banquet is to held Thursday,
November 15. If time allows, we will try to squeeze
in a bowling party for members and their families
this fall. Otherwise, the club will begin a new
club year in January 2002. |
