CVB Marketing Committee
Tackles Major projects for 2002
The CVB Marketing Committee will be working on
several major projects to be introduced in 2002.
A new visitors guide is the first item on the
agenda. Work has already begun on gathering and
updating information for the new guide. Production
will need to be completed prior to the end of
the year so that copies will be available for
the travel shows which begin January 4.
Along with the new visitors guide, the group will
be working on a new design for the travel show
display and also is at work on producing a new
ad for the state of Ohios major print publication,
Discover Ohio (formerly OhioPass)
The committee will be making decisions on new
images to successfully market the two-county area.
The new design will be used on all new marketing
materials including the billboard now on 1-75
near the 112 mile marker.
Advertising opportunities are available for interested
businesses in both the Visitors Guide and on the
Bureaus websitewww.seemore.org. If
you are interested, please contact the bureau
office for details. |

The Mercer County Sanitary Department is
in the process of making an improvement to the
system. We will be dividing the sanitary sewer
system in half. The point of separation will be
at the lift station at the corner of State Route
219 and Windy Point Road. This upgrade will be
two-fold.
First: It will take a big
load off our main lift station in downtown Montezuma.
By adding this, it will make a big difference
during wet springs when the heavy rains fall and
when the snow melts while the ground is still
frozen. It is during these times that the potential
for system overflow is the greatest. By splitting
up the system we greatly reduce the potential
of this happening.
Second: As many of the customers
know, development on the east end of our system
is moving at a rapid pace. This upgrade will allow
development to continue without effecting people
on the west end of the system. It is important
to note that these upgrades will be made without
any additional costs to current customers. |

Regular monthly meetings are held the second Monday
of each month at 7:00 pm at the Franklin Township
office located at 6805 SR 219.
Trail paving through Zuma Park
has been completed with minor landscaping to
be finished. The trail runs from State Route
219 at the bridge to State Route 219 on the
north side of the Celina City School property.
This is a very nice improvement to the park.
Zuma Days, will be held on June
28 & 29, 2002.
We would like to thank everyone who helped make
this event a success, and look forward to working
with you next year.
